Patty & Chris

Delicate Rose Gold Wedding in Rancho Sante Fe
Sara
Sara started out dreaming about Monet while learning to dodge line drives and linebackers with long camera lenses in tow. Her skills were born at SF State and refined amid cleats and referees. Her unwavering commitment to GPS may drive her into a river (The Office, anyone?) and friends says she's like a real-life Seinfeld episode with her "Kramer-entrances" and her "Elaine-dancing". Call her a crazy artist; continually experimenting with variations of light, color, and movement. She is fiercely driven to stretch artistic boundaries at every turn. We think there's a method to her madness, and the secret may just be those sparkle TOMS. Learn more about Sara or the rest of the team

When you work for Dolce & Gabbana, you know good fashion when you see it. So it follows that Patty, the West Coast PR Rep for D&G, had a custom-made wedding gown by Lazaro. Of course. And it's absolutely unreal. Patty and Chris's wedding was one-big-dance-party-meets-rose-gold-fashion explosion. Catherine of Chic to Chic Weddings executed this masterpiece with amazing florals by Michele Jacobs and...we just about died when we saw the cake created by Hey There, Cupcake! may be our absolute favorite. Ever.

Patty summed it up best, "Chris and I agreed that it was most important to focus on guest experience in planning our wedding. While it may sound crazy to focus on everyone else on a day dedicated to the two of us, we knew that we would enjoy the day most if everyone else was having a great time. That being said we also spoke a lot about cultivating an energy of love and family/friendship that everyone would feel. Finally, it was important for us to keep everything authentic to who we are."

"The emotional walk down the aisle with my dad, reading our vows, and the kiss all felt so surreal. The ceremony was honestly such special moment for both Chris and I. I wish we could pause it and live that moment over and over again. We really did tune everyone out and just breathed with one another and took in the words we both wrote for one another."

"As a special request from my grandma we incorporated the traditional Korean "pye-baek' into our reception. This nod to tradition allowed us to honor the bride's heritage while also giving Chris's family and the guests a taste of Korean culture."

And one of the most memorable moments of the night: Patty surprises Chris by re-enacting the entire dance routine to "Girls Run the World" by Beyonce. We were JAW-DROPPED. It was literally perfect.

"Lastly, the last dance of the night we all huddled together, Chris and I were like a burrito wrapped up by our last standing friends and family, and we all slow danced. We can't quite remember the song name, but we will leave that for that moment in time when we knew it was the best day of our lives."
