Hey, I'm Anna. I'm a Los Angeles based photographer who is quietly passionate about making authentic images. I started my career as a photojournalist and eventually transitioned to weddings full time. Storytelling has always been at the center of my work. I love capturing real moments and being there to put your story together. I've been photographing weddings for more than a decade, and editing images with a pug or two in my lap for nearly as long. :)
My pugs! It feels weird to call them "possessions," but I did pay for them ;) They are my spoiled little darlings and I love them so. I've gotten used to living life with their constant little snorts in the background and wouldn't have it any other way.
I would say the 1960s. I love the fashions and general aesthetic (pastels and mini dresses, yes please). I also think it'd be nice to live without all the modern technology in our face 24/7. That being said, I'm pretty happy in the modern era. We've progressed quite a bit in so many ways and really I can not complain too much.
I'm an outdoorsy gal. My favorite LA hiking spots include pretty much anywhere in Malibu, Westridge-Canyonback Wilderness Park, and of course Runyon Canyon. You can find me at Salt & Straw trying out the new flavors pretty often. I can also be seen fumbling around on my surfboard around the Manhattan Pier every now and then :)
Oh man, so many great ones here - I can not choose just one! I will say that my favorite part of a wedding day is right after the ceremony, once a couple has been pronounced officially married. There is such a contagious joyful vibe flowing through the air, even those who may not be the most sentimental tend to get caught up in the feelings. It's awesome. I love the impromptu celebration and all the good hugs :)
We've been together since we were 17 and I'm so glad I found someone as goofy as I am to spend my life with. He makes me smile everyday and knows just how I like my coffee .
My pugs, Pearl & Gus. They are as pushy as they are cuddly. I can't imagine life without a pug. It's a wonderful thing to have this little creature around who constantly wants to cuddle on you.
Books. I love to read. If I'm stressed or just need to move into a different headspace, I'll pick up a book!
I love to cook and stay nourished. You can find me blending up a smoothie or chopping veggies most days (before eating the ice cream).
I run almost everyday. It clears my head, wakes up my senses, and is one of my favorite way to enjoy being outside.
If I could eat one thing for dessert for the rest of my days, it'd be ice cream. Ideally with chunks of something delicious in it, think ganache or cookie dough, but I would settle for plain vanilla too :)
