Jessie

Jessie first sparked an interest in photography at the age of 12 and has since fallen more and more in love with it. She's the kinda gal who will leap over boulders and dive face first in the dirt just to get the shot. She is also a self-taught artist and loves spending her free time drawing, painting, and sculpting. She's not ashamed of having the loudest laugh in the room (you'll hear it one day) and goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy and comfortable.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEDDING MEMORY SO FAR?

I recently shot a wedding where both the bride and groom had lost their fathers. During the ceremony, they each turned around and handed their mothers a single rose. The bride's mother also gave her away to the groom, and shared her first dance with her during the reception. All of it was absolutely beautiful and so touching. I couldn't fight back my tears. It's those tender moments that really get to me.

WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?

Spending time with my husband. It doesn't matter what I'm doing with that man, he makes EVERYTHING fun. Our favorite thing to do is sit on our front porch first thing in the morning snuggled up with our pup. It gets us pumped for the rest of the day!

IN WHAT HISTORICAL PERIOD WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE LIVED?

It's a tough pick between the 50's, 60's and 70's primarily for the fashion and the music! Doo-Wop & Classic Rock, circle skirts & macrame, and mid-century furniture.. all of my favorite things!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE Los ANgeles HANGOUTs?

I feel SO spoiled to have so many hang out options in beautiful Los Angeles! On days when I need to relax, my first pick is Point Dume State Beach in Malibu. It's quiet and usually less crowded than other beaches. I also love the view from Mulholland Drive and taking the subway to DTLA to visit my favorite bookstore called "The Last Bookstore".

WITH WHAT FICTIONAL CHARACTER DO YOU MOST IDENTIFY?

I am a perfect mix of Jessica Day from New Girl, Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec, and Donna Pinciotti from That 70's Show. I'm weird and quirky, in love with my job and helping others, and I'm bit of a tom boy.

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW?

Ireland. 100% Ireland. I went in 2009 and absolutely fell in love with the rain and the greens, and I've dreamt of visiting again and never coming back. The people are so friendly and I am a sucker for overcast skies!

Go-tos

ART

Outside of photography, I am also an artist. I love drawing, painting, sculpting, etc. Anything you can think of! I couldn't imagine my life without creativity.

SPARKLING WATER (With LEMON!)

Though I mostly only drink water, my favorite drink is a glass of sparkling water with lemon. Since I don't like soda, coffee, or alcohol, this is my "fancy, fun, night-out-on-the-town drink"! Bonus points for when I get to drink it out of a pretty wine glass and feel extra fab!

UKELELE

I love playing ukulele! I started playing when I was 18 and it brings me so much joy. I love to take walks while I softly strum and sing my favorite songs.

Books

I. love. reading. More than anything, I love reading books focused on positive driven mindfulness. We all know that life can get hard, but it's books like Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert and The Crossroads between Should and Must by Elle Luna that help keep my level of gratitude and creativity at an all time high.

SPOTIFY

Spotify is my absolute go to for music and playlists. I love that I get to see what my friends are listening to, create and share playlists with each other, and discover new music on the daily. I can't imagine my life without an unlimited library of music now!

DISNEYLAND

Not going to lie, I'm a huge kid at heart. I HAVE to go to Disneyland at least once a year. I don't believe you can ever grow too old for it. It's pure magic and one of the only places in the world where you can let your inner child shine!
