Jessica

I’m a California native that enjoys the smell of first rains, delicious BBQ and hiking along our golden state coastline. I’ve been lucky enough to be pursuing my childhood dream of being a professional photographer! I have dedicated my life to learning the art of photography, having received my BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and ever since then, I have been working in the fields of art direction and freelance photography.

WHERE DO YOU FEEL MOST INSPIRED?

Organizing! I love a tidy space and get most inspirational while organizing my closet or dresser drawers. A clean space helps my mind, anytime I’m stressed or overwhelmed I take to cleaning to help me organize my thoughts.

IN WHAT HISTORICAL PERIOD WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE LIVED?

I’m obsessed with period piece dramas! Downton Abbey - yes please! Any and all Jane Austen novels that have been turned into series or films I’m here for it! I've been obsessed since I was young, reading novels and romanized about this era is one of my favorite pastimes.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?

I loooove to dance! I find I’m most happy dancing salsa with my fiance at home or on the dance floor. One of our dreams is to dance the night away in Cuba!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE EAST BAY HANGOUTS?

One of the reasons we moved to the East Bay was to have a backyard. We spend most of our available time hosting BBQ’s, gardening, and crafting outside. My partner’s sister lives upstairs with her husband and two kids. Our weekends are mostly hanging out with them grilling and drinking some delicious wine from Sonoma :)

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW?

I would say hell yea! I’m passport ready. I love traveling and try my hardest to do an international trip every year. Some of my past trips included Amsterdam, India, and Vietnam, the next are Colombia, Lisbon, and Ireland!

Go-tos

TRAVEL

A love that was sparked in me at the age of 16, when I took my first trip to London. After that I was hooked. I have a goal to visit every continent by the time I'm 40. The next to visit is Africa!

CLIMBING

I started this journey four years ago. Climbing keeps me motivated to become better and enjoy the beauty in nature.

WINE

When I first moved to SF I worked as a bartender in an upscale wine bar. That’s where I learned my love for wine. I belong to a handful of wine clubs in Sonoma and Livermore.

STREET FOOD

Some of my most memorable and delicious meals have been on the side of the road.

YOGA

I feel the most calm when I’m stretching and feeling my body. I do weekly flows with my sister twice a week. It was something we forced ourselves to do and has become second nature.

SPARKLING WATER

Whether it's Perrier or La Croix I can never resist a cold fizzy drink!
