A Cozy Summer Wedding at Brix in Napa

Some weddings just feel like the couple, and Lori and Cale’s celebration at Brix totally nailed that. It was relaxed, beautiful, and full of heart. Think: dinner party vibes, Napa sunshine, and everyone they love gathered around long tables with great wine.

As Napa wedding photographers, this kind of wedding lights us up. It wasn’t about over-the-top details, it was about meaning. Lori told us, “We wanted a small wedding, almost like a summer dinner party with friends and loved ones. It was important to me to be outside, with a relaxed but beautiful atmosphere.” And that’s exactly how it felt.

Their ceremony took place in the middle of the vineyards, with sweeping views and golden light. Lori’s uncle officiated, which made it even more personal. “I was nervous to ask, but he was so honored and it made our day that much more meaningful.”

After the ceremony, guests headed over to an outdoor dinner setup under breezy white pergolas. Cale’s love for Moscow mules inspired the signature cocktail and also sparked a fun design idea. “We used copper mule mugs as water glasses at the tables,” Lori said. “It ended up being the perfect focal point and pulled everything together.”

The whole day felt easy in the best way: full of joy, great food, heartfelt toasts, and lots of hugs. Lori and Cale did a first look before the ceremony, which Lori totally recommends. “Get those gorgeous pictures out of the way early so you can enjoy the rest of your day!”

These two planned a celebration that felt like them through and through, and it was such a joy to capture every bit of it.
