The Dodgers won the World Series, and these two tied the knot. This Fig House wedding had it all: bold color, champagne toasts, electric dance floor energy, and a scoreboard update that sent guests into a full-blown celebration. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for a couple who lives for baseball and big feelings. This one hit different.
“We’ve been Dodgers fans for our entire relationship,” the couple shared. “We got engaged in 2024 and the Dodgers won the World Series that year. It’s almost unbelievable that the Dodgers won back-to-back on our wedding day… which was actually our 12th anniversary.” SAY WHAT!!?
They watched the game unfold throughout the day with their diehard friends keeping score on a literal whiteboard.
The entire day felt like a celebration from the jump. The Fig House brought the perfect backdrop with its punchy tones and courtyard vibes, and this crew showed up ready for a good time. The energy kicked off with champagne in coupe glasses and hot rollers on the getting-ready playlist.
The couple wanted the day to feel like a reflection of them, and it delivered. “We wanted our wedding to be a celebration of Justin and me, but also a celebration of the amazing people in our lives,” they said. “Enjoying the moment was very important to us, and we wanted it to feel like a party where our guests could also enjoy the day. Good food, good drinks, and good vibes were what we hoped people would experience.”
The Fig House already brings the personality with bold colors, jewel tones, and funky furniture. These two leaned right into that. “I wanted my florals and decor to match the colors and furniture accents at The Fig House,” the bride shared. “I told my florist that I’d like the florals to feature bursts of color, and the decor we used leaned into the vibe of the venue.”
Of course there were the cutest signature cocktails. “Peanut and Soondae are the names of Justin’s family dog and my family dog 🙂,” Christine shared. It’s those little touches that made the whole day feel like a love letter to their world.
“This random frog is actually the mascot for our favorite soju brand (Jinro) which symbolizes prosperity,” the bride explained. “We borrowed it from a KBBQ place we frequent in LA (DaeSungRo). Also ties into my favorite Sanrio character (a frog named Keroppi) and we all collectively had a Brat summer so we thought the green was perfect 🤣 The Jinro frog mascot is in like every single Korean restaurant that sells soju 🤣 Very familiar face for most of our guests.”
We captured the day using both film and digital to lean into a documentary wedding photography approach. There were moments that felt pulled straight from a vintage movie reel: tearful first looks, deep belly laughs, and blink-and-you-miss-it glances that speak volumes. The Fig House is one of those places where every corner photographs beautifully. As Los Angeles wedding photographers, it’s a dream location for real moments and colorful backdrops.
This crew didn’t just bring the party, they brought their personalities too. From hand-tied florals to cheeky Dodgers details, nothing felt cookie-cutter. They set the tone early with tequila shots and custom keychains at cocktail hour and kept the vibe going strong all night.
From a vintage photo booth and a custom keychain bar to their beloved Jinro frog making a guest appearance, everything felt personal without being overly planned. “One compliment we kept hearing was that the wedding really felt like a reflection of us as a couple,” they said. That’s the goal right there.
When the Dodgers clinched it, the place absolutely went off. People were screaming, hugging, waving napkins in the air like rally towels. “I want to believe the universe gave us a sign of approval that we both made the right choice,” they said.
Guests waved their napkins in the air, people screamed in disbelief, and it felt like every emotion peaked at once.
No one could have scripted it better.
Christine and Justin kept it real when we asked about advice for others planning their day. “Do it together,” they said. “Wedding planning was so stressful, but having the right partner to help you through the big things, small things, and all the in-between things makes it MUCH easier.”
