Elysse & Ramiro’s Eclectic Wedding at Buena Vista Winery
Some weddings are all about tradition, and some are about carving your own path. Elysse and Ramiro’s celebration at Buena Vista Winery was completely true to them: simple, intentional, and full of personality.
Elysse grew up in Sonoma, so it made perfect sense to bring their people together in the heart of wine country. “We love the setting of Buena Vista,” she shared. “We want two things to stand out: the venue and us!” And that’s exactly what happened. The winery’s historic charm paired beautifully with their laid-back, modern approach. They skipped the cake cutting and bouquet toss, and instead focused on the things that mattered most to them—good food, great company, and dancing under the stars.
Their love story spans continents. She’s from California, he’s from Argentina, and they met at Duke University. The day felt like a reflection of all the places and people that brought them together. From the warm sunset stroll through the vineyards to the joyful toasts at their al fresco dinner, every detail was thoughtful but never overdone.
Elysse described her style as “simple, but eclectic,” and the day captured that vibe perfectly. Fresh florals in soft shades, relaxed garden seating, personalized signage, and a glowing dance floor created a setting that felt elegant, easy, and full of heart. And to top it all off, they ended the night with an afterparty in the famous Bubbles Room: a moody, velvet-draped lounge that’s equal parts charm and sexy sparkle.
We loved capturing their celebration as it unfolded, no stiff posing, no forced moments, just pure connection and joy. We’re Bay Area wedding photographers who focus on documentary-style storytelling, and this was the kind of day that makes our job really fun. Elysse and Ramiro skipped the stuff that didn’t matter to them and leaned all the way into what did—which is exactly when the best photos happen.
