Lindsey will feel like your best friend the moment you meet her as she greets you with a big hug & friendly smile. She lives with an intentional enthusiasm for life & always finds a way to capture her subjects through that same lens. Her father gifted her his 50mm Yashica film camera when she was in junior high & trained her to record every exposure as she shot. This storytelling hobby developed through her art courses in college & then after while traveling in South America. When she's not shooting, you'll find her exploring new sushi spots, playing volleyball or off soaking up different cultures around the world.
Shooting from the bed of the Best Man’s truck as the bride & groom rode away on their #twinning vespas. Cars were honking, passersby were cheering, & every stop light they held hands & kissed. This couple was silly, spontaneous & all about a good time. The bride then decided we should stop & play for a while at the playground before heading to their reception venue? kid #1 “I love your dress Miss!” kid #2 “Congratulations!!” kid #3 “You’re dress is so pretty Miss bride!”.
My books. Even though I’m living a pretty simplistic SF lifestyle as far as material objects go, I can’t get rid of my books. I can always add more shelves for them. I love to read. I love Harry Potter, The Secret Life of Bees, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, Between the World & Me. I love the feel, smell & cover of a beautifully bound book & I’m stoked to share my favorites with my children someday.
I recently moved to San Francisco from Seattle and have loved getting to know this eclectic, vibrant city! I love running in Golden Gate Park & biking to Ocean Beach. We have gone on a handful of really incredible hikes & day adventures in the beautiful surrounding areas from Mount Tam & Alamere Falls to Santa Cruz & Mount Diablo. I really really really can’t wait to float the Russian River! We also love the food scene here. We have been checking out new sushi spots weekly! Okina & Yuubi are some of our favorites so far. Meeting friends at Off the Grid & dancing to local music in the park are always a yes in my book.
Perfection is totally in the journey for me as whimsical as that sounds… I can think of so many glorious moments of happiness? Holding hands in a foreign country, adventuring as locally as possible. A beer & a fire at sunset with friends at the beach after a long day of beach volleyball. Friendsgiving! Sharing food, laughs & what we're thankful for, I love Friendsgiving. The couch, Frank Ocean turned up, & a game of Settlers of Catan with my two loves? my man & my kitten.
Nature’s butter. On everything. Yes please.
I can listen to him for hours & in any mood.
As a water bottle or a vase, for to-go salads or smoothies, to store chia seeds or plantain chips, to grow avocado trees or plant herb gardens… The possibilities are endless.
I want to draw out ideas, doodle & write sideways? don’t hold me back with lines :)
Maybe it’s a PNW thing, but just imagine dancing on warm clouds…
This American Life, Code Switch, Black Girls Talking, TED Radio Hour, Serial, Fresh Air… Such great working noise to help me stay curious.
