Jiajia and Kevin are the kind of couple who don’t need to try hard to be charming. Their energy is playful, grounded, and completely effortless. They’re silly and self-aware, and you can tell they feel most like themselves when they’re together.
They met over happy hour in Philly, left their leftovers behind in the excitement, and ended up back at Kevin’s place to “listen to music” (which, to be fair, they actually did). Fast forward to a stormy winter day in Pebble Beach, with oysters, charcuterie, and a proposal on a quiet bench by the ocean. Intimate, thoughtful, and so them.
For their engagement photo session, they met us at sunrise at Griffith Observatory, where the city still felt sleepy and the whole place had this golden, cinematic hush. These two are now proudly living in LA, and since they can actually see the observatory from their apartment, it felt like the perfect backdrop to mark this chapter.
The two of them shared plenty of laughs while we wandered the overlook and trails in the morning light. They mentioned being camera shy, but you’d never know it. They leaned into each moment and brought so much personality to the shoot. It felt light, natural, and completely them.
We are lovers of the “je ne sais quoi” vibes and so of course we had to bring the nostalgic black and white film, too:
Looking for Los Angeles wedding photographers who know how to make you feel at ease? This is exactly the kind of connection we love capturing.
